Talked a little bit more about the new site at Camp Hawk, we are getting a climate controlled cabinet that will set up outside the main building.  440 and 2 meters are the bands we would like to have repeaters on.  And the fusion repeater will be the UHF repeater.  The original 2 M will be kept as is. It should be installed in October sometime (dates have been moving).

Russell has purchased the Rohn towers and equipment.  He will negotiate the next steps with the clubs.

The digital repeater at the Newton Police Department had been turned off for awhile

Kansas QSO party may have a record number of logs submitted.  Bob Harder is still working on them.  Charles worked 19 counties, 1,168 contacts.

Ongoing contests: Route 66, Charles is up to 16 stops. Upcoming is Washington State contest (Salmon Run)

MCC bike ride - 6 Sags will be staffed and volunteers will be requested at the Sept. 15th meeting.  Maps should be available and will be sent out before the next meeting.  Kick off is 8 AM Saturday.  Hams will be at the SAGs for radio support.   Would like to have rider numbers but try to catch number of riders.

Notes on support for rides.  We need to be using our call signs after each transmission for our Sags.  Net control and Sags need to identify every 10 minutes.  And Net control needs to identify events every 10 minutes.

New business: Email from K0AYS…has numerous old QST magazines and we will share the wealth with McPherson, Newton and Wichita.

Is MARC and NARC interested in a swap on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Hutchinson?  City park in Hutchinson.

The McPherson club is now ARRL affiliated.
