The May 19, 2015 meeting of the Newton Amateur Radio Club met at Hillsboro. Meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Dave Hughes.
In attendance: Dave WX0DH, Russell WX0RG, Jeanne KS0JG, Jed KD0JCG, Charles K0HNC and Jerry KD0LWX.
Russell moved and Jerry seconded to approved minutes as published in the website.
Treasurer’s report Checking $1,277.04. Petty cash $51.00 Russell moved and Jerry seconded to approved the treasurer’s report.
Will try for library next meeting.
Discussion of the new digital repeater, the repeater has arrived but is still in the process of being put under dummy load and being set up. Has antenna and need to get cans, racks, etc. Gerald may have a spare 19” rack.
We will have Marion County Lake on Field Day without the other emergency planned activities but we will be sharing with catfish tournament. Set up will be on Friday 26th, starts on 27th and ends 28th.
Camp Hawk is under renovation, now there will be a small house next to the county building. Russell is contacting the Newton Elevator and still working on it.

Russell reported on Heartland 50, went very well. Matfield was down and we used the Emporia repeater.
Jerry reported on Chisholm Trail. Went well and they will want us next year.
