The March 17, 2009 meeting was held in the Newton Public Library.  The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm by Secretary/Treasurer David Godshall.  Present were Lon Buller, David Duerksen, David Godshall, Bob Harder, Marion Harper, Dan Inskeep, Joe Palmer, and Kent Stutzman.

Minutes: The February Minutes were read and approved.

Treasurer's Report: Added $15 in dues to petty cash, for a total of $30 in petty cash, a checking account balance of $656.13, and a total of $686.13.

Advanced Storm Spotter's Training: Lon has not heard from any Amateur Radio operators expressing an interest in the class yet, aside from Kent Stutzman.  Thursday, April 9th, 6:30pm at AGCO at 420 W. Lincoln in Hesston.  Dan expressed an interest so Lon has added him to the class roster.  Lon indicated some additional class size leeway has been added, so other Harvey County Amateurs serious about helping with storm spotting are invited to show up, even if they have not contacted Lon first.

Club Equipment: Executive session was called for the discussion of Club equipment status. Discussion was recorded and is detailed in the Club minutes.

MCC Relief Sale: All amateurs are invited and encouraged to stop by for anywhere from a few hours to the full both days and help with communications, as well as enjoy the sale for a good cause.  Bring your family!  http://kansas.mccsale.org/

Repeater: Dan reported there was some interference on the repeater this morning, and suggested we consider enabling tones at some point.  Otherwise interference has been minimal.

Kansas QSO Party: The date has been set for August 29-30, 9am-9pm Saturday and 9am-3pm Sunday (Central standard; GMT is 1400Z-0200Z and 1400Z-2000Z).  More discussion of what to get for the prize, and two more options Bob said have come up were Sandplum Jelly and Buffalo Jerky.  Some corporate sponsors are being lined up.  http://www.ksqsoparty.org/

Oklahoma QSO Party:  Bob and Lorna will be driving around Oklahoma next weekend participating in the Oklahoma QSO Party.
