|The June 16, 2015 meeting of the Newton Amateur Radio Club met at Hillsboro. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by President Dave Hughes.
In attendance: Dave WX0DH, Russell WX0RG, Jeanne KS0JG, Charles K0HNC, Kent KB0RWI, Joe N0LQT, Joe KD0QNG, Greg KD0QNF, and Jerry KD0LWX.
Russell moved and Jerry seconded to approved minutes as published in the website.
Treasurer’s report Checking $1,277.04. Petty cash $51.00 Russell moved and Jerry seconded to approved the treasurer’s report.
Discussion of the new digital repeater, Russell is working on the set up.
We will have Marion County Lake on Field Day without the other emergency planned activities but we will be sharing with catfish tournament. Set up will be on Friday 26th, starts on 27th and ends 28th.
Access for Friday afternoon, need to get out early to get the set up, lake manager will have barricades for us. Need big vertical from McPherson, multi band antenna. Work 10 meters, 6 meters (maybe), Jeanne digital, side band, CW
New version of N1NM+ added a lot, changed the way (can still use classic mode) Need some 2x4s, caution tape, ground wire for radios, back side of building has water hydrants, grounding harness was Bob Harder’s
Camp Hawk is under renovation, now there will be a small house next to the county building. Russell is contacting the Newton Elevator and still working on it.
