The June 18, 2013 meeting of the Newton Amateur Radio Club met in the Board Room of the Newton Public Library. In attendance were Fred Becker, Jeanne Groves, Russell Groves, David Hughes, Charles Meisinger, Steve Nelson, Stan Stephenson, Kent Stutzman, and Jerry Williams.

Club funds: Checking Account: $869.04 Petty Cash: $31.00

Meeting was called to order at 7:04PM by President Russell Groves.

Kent S read the minutes. Charles made a motion. Jerry 2nd. Minutes were accepted as read.

Old Business:
Field Day set-up would begin at 4:00PM Friday. And continue at 8:00AM on Saturday. Kent offered the Club to fund the purchase of paper plates, red solo plastic cups and napkins.

There was a discussion of radios and antennas to be used. Russell listed the radios and antennas, and who would bring for each station. Fred Becker gave Kent a G5-RV and MFJ-557 key to learn code. If Kent did not want the G5-RV, it could be a door prize for the meeting. Kent offered the use of the antenna to the Club during Field Day.

Upcoming events to provide communications:
Mowbray Metric is July 21 at 0730.
Starts in McPherson and will travel through Moundridge and Hesston. All communications will be on the 147.330+

MCC Bike Ride in September. Russell will make contact with MCC. He has been contact person for the past few years.

Falun Classic is usually the same day as the MCC Bike RIde

New Business:
Bob Harder is getting the Kansas QSO Party ready to go for August 24-25, 2013. Kent has the rules updates and will be making the changes to the web site. The web site is now up-to-date.

Charles made a motion to adjourn, Jerry 2nd. Unanimous approval. Meeting adjourned at 8:00PM.
