Treasurers report, Checking balance of 554.64, with $30 in petty cash.

Joe reported that we had a SK in Newton in the last 30 days - Elmer Watts, K0HAO, 79. Interestingly enough, Dan had worked a former Newton ham on 80meters, Ray Polley, K0JDB, 92, in the Kansas City area that had been Elmer's elmer in the hobby.

Old business: Russell is scheduled to take the IS-300 two day test in Wichita. This is not an on-line course. The EM for Marion County has encouraged Russell and Jeanene to take the CommL course, so they have some public safety training. Russell has met with the City of Hillsboro, who wants to cooperate with installation of any antennas for amateur communications use.

Mike contact Harvey Co Communications regarding a spurious signal from the County Parks Dept. This was 11MHz of splatter, and seemed to only be one or two transmissiters.

K-Link - Dan asked about the present status of the 440 K-Link radio here in Newton. He suggested we either donate money or equipment to help get the Node on-line. Mike should be in touch with Justin and can give the Club an update during the month as to the Newton node status.

More discussion about getting the antennas off of the Cargill elevator. After the the meeting, Joe pulled out his binoculars and found what he believed to be as a DB-2210.

Kent asked when there was going to be a HV Co RACES meeting. Joe will contact Lon and they will establish a plan to start establishing the a group and plans for monthly meetings.

The meeting was adjourned at 2010.
