The July 15, 2000 meeting was held at Spear's Restaraunt in Newton. The meeting was called to order at 9:12am by Secretary/Treasurer David Godshall. Present were Ko Bartel, Fred Becker, Jeff Bitikofer, Larry Boettcher, David Duerksen, Xon Fesler, David Godshall, John Ryding, Roger Wilson, Dr. J. J. Wilson.

June minutes were read without correction.

Treasurer's: No change to the current checking account balance: $775.09.

Repeater Trustee's Report: Not present to give report. Bob Harder is currently traveling from Nebraska towards Quebec.

Antenna Removal: Robin not around to give a report.

Field Day: Fred reported he had fun, and others concurred. Worked all but about 7 sections. John Ryding reported he made about 100 contacts working by himself. Wichta Field Day had about 80 people pass through.

Fred Becker: Reported on his attendance of WARC. Enjoyed Roger Wilson giving a presentation. Noted that there was an offer made by Wichita Air Museum to dedicate an area in the old Terminal Building for a working Amateur Radio hamshack/exhibit. Roger said the room is in dire need of repair before it would be usable as a hamshack.

Larry Boettcher mentioned he is active in reactivating the dormant Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio (Satern). Satern is active in other areas but has been dormant in SC Kansas. He will give us more details later.

Hutchinson Swapfest: Roger noted that there is a hamfest today in Hutchinson at Fourth & Chemical.

Salina Hamfest: Last Sunday in August, August 27.

Sweepstakes: John Ryding ranked 2nd in Kansas and got a Clean Sweep.
