The December 15, 2007 meeting was held in the Newton Public Library.  The meeting was called to order at 9:18am by Vice-President Aaron Diller, and continued by President Mike Harvey.  Present were Lon Buller, David Duerksen, Aaron Diller, David Godshall, Mike Harvey, Dan Inskeep.

Minutes: The November Minutes were read and approved with one correction, the November meeting ended at 10:05am, not 10:05pm.

Field Day: Some discussion about the field day results.  Noted that the CW station normally does very well, and we could do better on the phone station.  Better headphones and/or less ambient/people noise around the phone stations would also help.  The camper that the CW people used to use for the CW station will no longer be available, so they will need to figure out something else.

Repeater: Mike checked the batteries recently and they seem to be working great.  He did accidentally break the cable, fixed it temporarily, and is planning on returning to fix it correctly soon.  He may have also bumped the squelch knob and that could explain the problem Dan and some others have been having getting in from HTs.

Skywarn Appreciation Day: The National Weather Service in Wichita made about 32 contacts, many using IRLP through our repeater.  Mike and Kent Stutzman went out to the NWS for an hour or two and made some contacts from there.

Sweepstakes: Mike and Lee Buller went to Beloit to operate on Sweepstakes.  Made about 1600 CW contacts.

Election: Dan Inskeep elected President, Kent Stutzman, Vice-President, David Godshall Secretary/Treasurer.

Club Bylaws: Dan is still working on the application for 501(c)3 status to become a tax-exempt organization.  We will need to adjust our bi-laws some to fit the criteria.
